Meet the Staff

An expert in all facets of dermatology. He is a graduate of Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his internal medical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital and Medical Center, Portland OR and his research fellowship and dermatology residency at Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, OR. Dr. DeMay’s research interests include Psoriasis, Atopic Dermatitis, and Dermatomyositis and Sweet’s Syndrome. He has received numerous honors and awards, and maintains memberships in several medical associations. Including the National Psoriasis Foundation and American Acne and Rosacea Society.  He additionally supports the Skin Cancer Foundation and the National Eczemz Association. Dr. DeMay treats a broad array of skin conditions in patients of all ages. His mission is to bring relief to his clients through empathetic, experience-based treatment and ongoing education concerning the health of their skin.

We are excited and pleased to welcome Avery MacIntosh, PA-C to our clinical team. Avery is a board-certified physician assistant who is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages. With her training and experience in dermatology she is committed to building lasting relationships and working closely with J. Mark DeMay, MD and David J. Grote, PA-C to deliver personalized, evidence-based treatment. We’re proud to have Avery as part of our team and look forward to the dermatologic care she will provide our community.

Avery is originally from the Twin Cities area, she received her Bachelor’s of Science degree at the University of Northwestern-St Paul. She continued her education in Orange City, IA at Northwestern College where she gained her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies. Her interests include both medical and aesthetic dermatological care. She believes in compassionate patient care centered around physical and emotional well-being. She currently lives in Remsen, IA with her fiance and golden retriever. In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and visiting family in Minnesota.
